Pumps, Clutches & PTO’s

Our clutches are mechanical dog clutches, gear oil lubricated. Operation is by lever, which can be connected to a cable for remote operation from above deck position.

A range of hydraulic pumps can be fitted to our clutches. clutches are bi-rotational, enabling clockwise and anticlockwise pumps to be used.

Solent’s clutches can be driven in line off the front of your engine crankshaft, or from your gearbox PTO if available. We can manufacture PTO stub shafts for your engine crankshaft pulley if required, and also stock a full range of flexible couplings to suit.

Most Boat gearboxes have a live PTO facility. We can advise which are suitable for a Clutch & Pump and advise on fitment
