Slave Haulers

Solent Engineering Slave Haulers are heavy duty winches designed for professional fisherman working in harsh arduous working conditions. They can be used for potting and other rope winching operations.

They are designed and built by Solent in house, and we carry spares, on the shelf, for all models

Sheaves are pressed in high carbon steel or cast SG iron on larger models. replaceable Galvanised steel wear plates are fitted as standard to eliminate the need for sheave re facing.

The sheaves mount to drive hubs and the motors feature additional bearings to protect motor shaft from side loads.

We use high quality hydraulic motors and carry stock here in the UK.

Ejector knife 316 stainless double sided reversible for maximum life.

The heads are mounted on stainless 316 polished Backplates upto 1.25ton with countersunk bolt holes to prevent rope catches and knuckle injuries! these can be mounted on a ‘P’ Bracket, ‘P’ Bracket/Davit, consoles, or bulkheads.

Slave heads can be supplied with either a capstan, or grease trap cover plate.
